Music Monday: January, Thanks!

Ok. So, that was January. Not bad. Got some things done. Fell behind on some others. Learned some things, made some plans. All in all, I do have some things to be grateful for.

January, Thanks!

1) Thanks to laying out some clear plans for things I wanted to get done.

2) Thanks to learning that change isn't as easy as making plans.

3) Thanks to the wisdom of an ear, nose & throat doctor.

4) Thanks to my plush eye mask for sealing out light while I slept on the couch.

5) Thanks to a shelf full of crappy bath towels for being available to wipe up plumbing mishaps.

6) Thanks to free therapy.

7) Thanks to macaroni & cheese for keeping me happy on cold nights.

8) Thanks to yoga for being there when I need it.

9) Thanks to half.com for making reasonably priced gifts a possibility.

10) Thanks to Halls cough drops, tissues, cold medicine and my sinus rinse for getting me healthy sooner.

Hey, that's kind of a lot. Not bad, right? Now, let's stop talking about me and entertain you!

What are you thankful for in January?

Being thankful is a great attitude. I especially love your thank your macaroni and cheese - love it.

I'm thankful for my children every month of the year! I'm also thankful for a brand new year that I can create within. I'm thankful for all the new books I plan to write!

I found your post via LinkedIn and the group Bloggers Helping Bloggers. I was drawn into it just because you wrote "I think macaroni & cheese deserves a thank you, don't you?" I totally agree. I can't tell you how much macaroni & cheese has done for me. Not only did it comfort me, but it brought my boyfriend and I together and it kept me warm through winter. (Thank you all 980 calories of a large Panera Mac'n'Cheese.) I really enjoyed the rest of your list as well. It is witty in a sense and it definitely brings out your character and reveals the humanity I love reading blogs just to see.

Jon: Aw. Glad to hear it!

Retha: I'm trying to appreciate things more. They say if you're not happy with what you have you'll never be happy with more.

Laura: Good luck with the books!

MK: Thanks for visiting! Pretty much everything at Panera is amazing.

Jeri: And cheese! By itself!

Gosh I loved reading your thankful list. It reminded of all the things I should be/am thankful for. I feel very lucky and thankful for my awesome husband who puts up with my constant chatter about blogging... LOL. :)

Great list!
I am so glad you have got a few health issues out of the way....it is so much easier to be grateful when you can see (or breathe) clearly :)

It's really the little things that matter. I try to pray every day and sometimes it's like... what should I give thanks for today? It sounds stupid but I do stuff like that too. On a whole I'm just happy to be alive.

Susan: It's good to have that support, isn't it?

Becc: I'm not 100% yet, but at least I know what to do to get there. And I feel better just because of that!

Rynessa: I know what you mean. I thank God for the day every night, even if things were shitty. Because, hey, at least I had another chance to try.
